Kimberley Air Tours is seeking a vibrant and energetic person to join its team at our home base in Kununurra, Western Australia.

Kimberley Air Tours is a locally owned and operated tourism/aviation business specialising in short to full day air touring experiences and charter services across the Kimberley region of Western Australia. 

Our workplace is dynamic, fun and varied where no day is the same.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Reservations/Operations Assistant plays a pivotal role within the company as the first point of contact for our customers, handling tour bookings, assisting with charter operations and working closely with pilots and the management team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties to be carried out include but are not limited to:

- Manage incoming calls / emails to the business regarding tour bookings & charter enquiries

- Communicate regularly with agents regarding tours & availability

- Meet, greet & check-in guests on arrival assisting with luggage

- Utilise reservations / flight management system to complete passenger bookings

- Reconciliation of daily bookings against financial records

- Coordinate receipt & dispatch of freight

- Monitor arrivals & departures, conducting bus transfers as required

- Up-keep of front office, kitchen, bathroom, and other shared spaces

- Providing operations support to the Operations Manager 

Skills & Attributes

To be successful in this role, applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:

- A professional manner on the telephone, email and in face-to-face interactions

- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast paced environment

- Be highly organised with a strong attention to detail

- Enthusiasm and a ‘can do’ attitude

- A flexible and ‘hands on’ approach to work


The following licences are desirable but not essential:

- Hold a Forklift Licence

- Hold a Light Rigid Licence

- Current First Aid certificate

This role is offered as full-time seasonal from end of March to September with the opportunity to become permanent and would suit someone with experience or background in customer service, retail, tourism or aviation. This position could also suit someone as a stepping stone into the aviation industry.

Full training and ongoing support is provided, with commencement being end of March 2026. Weekend work may be required.

Although previous experience in aviation or tourism would be advantageous it is not essential. Enthusiasm for the role and an eagerness to learn will be considered above all else.
